This session introduces participants to the basic engineering principles, calculations, and theory that underpin modern automotive systems. Through practical examples, we will explore how concepts such as force, torque, mechanical advantage, energy, motion, and material properties are applied to automotive design and repair. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of not only how automotive systems work, but also why they are designed and engineered the way they are.
